What not to do — a lesson in how not to improve your ranking

by Shannon on April 9, 2010

I know that  I have been absent for a while. There are a number of reasons.  However, let this be a lesson to all of us on how NOT to get a better ranking.

I have not had new content, so I have not written posts with links to resources and hopefully had people commenting on my blog posts.

How did this happen, to me, someone who knows how important this all is?

It’s easy. I got busy, the kids got sick, then I started to wonder (as we all do) is anyone reading this blog.  These are all things that you my readers face.  So now the question is what do you do to recover from this? It’s easy. Start blogging again

It may feel odd – even strange, but you will soon pick up the habit again.  Then set a schedule — make time to write blog posts. Write posts about topics ahead of time. Start storing topics and ideas for posts, before life catches up with you.

Then start to see your readers come back.  Start to watch your rankings come back.

Up tomorrow: How to list your website with Yahoo.
