Now that you have hopefully gotten your site listed and verified with Google, now it’s time to move on and do a few other search engines. The next one I am going to talk about is Bing. Although, it’s not as popular as Google it’s still important to make sure that Bing is listing your site.
1. Go to Bing and click on Explore.
2. Click on Webmaster Tools
3. Create a Windows Live account (if you do not have one) or login if you do.
4. You will be brought instant to a screen where you can add your website, click add website.
5. Then you will want to type in your url for your website or blog.
6. Next You will see a screen that shows you a meta tag or an xml file code. If you know how to and want to add the meta tag to your website use that. If you are not sure then select the xml code option
7. To do the xml click download, then save.
8. Then transfer the file LiveSearchSiteAuth.xml in your public html folder.
9. Go back and click on on the site link in your site list.
10. You will then see this screen.
11. This is what it looks like when you have your account verified.
